More Than Just a Brand
The Natural Sustenance logo is a bold, contemporary icon, paired with a clean typeface.
Droplets
The water droplets in the icon highlight rain and evaporation, respectively. They symbolize give and take, yin and yang, the balance of the universe.
Color
Black provides a clean, bold base for the two bright shades of blue and green. From a distance, Earth can be reduced to the same two colors: blue and green.
Badge
The badge features the company motto along with icons representing rain and evaporation, alluding to the balance represented in the logo.

5 Gyres Institute
The 5 Gyres Institute is a leader in the global movement against plastic pollution with more than 10 years of expertise in scientific research and engagement on plastic pollution issues. Since 2009, the team has completed 19 expeditions, bringing more than 300 citizen scientists, corporate executives, brands, and celebrities to the gyres, lakes, and rivers to conduct firsthand research on plastic pollution.
Through this research, 5 Gyres continuously engages diverse stakeholders in understanding the science to drive impact as well as conduct community outreach and citizen science to implement data-driven solutions. With over 1,800 Ambassadors in 66 countries, 5 Gyres supports and is supported by community members with information, tools, and connections to help drive local change to fight this global crisis. The Center for Ecoliteracy is dedicated to cultivating education for sustainable living. They recognize that students need to experience and understand how nature sustains life and how to live accordingly. The organization encourages schools to teach and model sustainable practices. The Center leads systems change initiatives, publishes original books and resources, facilitates conferences and professional development, and provides strategic consulting. They work at multiple levels of scale, with local, regional, state, and national programs. One initiative, California Food for California Kids® supports systems change by improving children’s health, education, and the state’s economy while teaching students where food comes from and how it reaches the table.
